What is LMD
A Leadership and Ministry Development School is for someone who has already completed the DTS, has been staffing in YWAM or a church for over a year, and is looking to grow in their leadership by moving forward practically and spiritually. This is a more hands-on school where you will be introduced to different types of ministries and taught about the foundations of pioneering and taking initiative as a leader.
During the first three months of this school, you will be learning about different ministries, as well as getting involved with them. You will have many different teachings to deepen your foundations and equip you as a leader. Some of the ministries you will be involved with are:
Government: Learn about authority, attend Parliament prayer meetings and research those in authority throughout the UK.
Base Activites: Share, encourage, lead evangelism and worship times.
Media: Be involved in web design, photography, journalism, videography, and editing.
Mercy: Work within different ministries that aid and come alongside vulnerable people.
Wildfire: Planning lessons, activities, and games and spending time with children.
And other projects as well.
The last two months of the school are the Outreach Phase- a practical time to use the tools and information you were taught during the Lecture Phase. The outreach location will depend one where God is guiding the team during that particular season. As a way to challenge you to grow your leadership skills, the students of the school will be a big help in planning their own outreach by taking care of the logistics of all the planning and activities, both physically and spiritually.
Dates & Costs
Schools start: APRIL and OCTOBER each year.
Lecture Phase: £2,400
This includes accommodation and food.
Outreach phase: £1,800 (not including flights to and from outreach destinations)
Registration: £50 (payable with your application form, non-refundable)

You will be responsible to buy your tickets to and from London before and after the DTS and the transportation to and from the outreach location(s), which will be communicated to you during the Lecture Phase.
Applicants from outside of the UK will need to have a visa to train with us. You will most likely apply for a Tier 5 Religious Worker Visa but as YWAM, we will be your sponsors and walk you through the visa application process after you are accepted into the programme. The price of the visa is £255 for 6 months.
You will need to take this into consideration and allow enough time to complete the application and visa process. If you are not British, we recommend you apply 3 months before the beginning of the school.
