The Rooted Leadership School is for someone who has already completed the DTS and is looking to go deeper with God. It's for someone hungry for more- whether thats another short season or a dive into either missions or leadership.

This is a more hands on school where you will be introduced to many different types of ministries. You will also be taught biblical principles and the fundamentals of pioneering and working in ministry- taking initiative, working in teams, and servant leadership.

If you want to be rooted in the Word, in your relationship with God, and in ministry; if you feel that it's the time to take your calling to another level, wanting to gain experience, guidance and depth- this is for you! It is an opportunity to be launched into ministry wherever God may call you.

During the first three months of this school, you will have the opportunity to be learning about and getting involved in different ministries. You will also have different teachings to deepen your foundations and equip you as a leader.

We will also spend around 3 weeks during the first months of Lecture Phase in specific bible locations, reading and studying the Word where it was written.

Some of the ministries you will be involved with are:

Base Activites: Share, encourage, lead evangelism, worship, devotional times, summer events, etc.

Media: Be involved in web design, photography, journalism, videography, and editing.

Mercy: Work within different ministries that aid and come alongside vulnerable people including homeless, those battling addictions, those in the sex industry, elderly, or prisoners.

Children: Planning lessons, activities, and games and spending time with children either in our Wildfire or faith club activities.

And many other projects as well.

The last two months of the school are the Outreach Phase- a practical time to use the tools and information you were taught during the Lecture Phase.

The outreach location will depend on where God is guiding the team during that particular season, and the means and limitations of the team. As a way to challenge you to grow your leadership skills, the students of the school will be a big help in planning their own outreach by taking care of the logistics of the planning and activities, both physically and spiritually throughout the course of the outreach.

This time will be a challenge, as you will have to work closer with your teammates, but it will also enrich your faith and growth as you continue to allow God to work.

Schools start:

- 11 April 2025 - 29 August 2025

- 10 October 2025 - 6 March 2026

Lecture Phase: £2,400

This includes accommodation and food.

Outreach phase: £1,800 (not including flights to and from outreach destinations)

Registration: £50 (payable with your application form, non-refundable)

Deposit: £500 deposit (payable after acceptance in the school, non-refundable)

You will be responsible to buy your tickets to and from London before and after the school and the transportation to and from the outreach location(s), which will be communicated to you during the Lecture Phase.

Visas tend to be intimidating- but don't worry! We will walk you through the process to make it as easy as possible. Most nationalities are able to come to the UK as a tourist for up to 6 months without a visa and as a tourist, you are able to help in a charity (AKA YWAM!). This means that you will likely not need a visa for the length of your DTS with us. In the event you are from another nation that does require a visa to enter, you will need to get a Religious Worker Visa with us, as YWAM, as your sponsor. The price is £255 for the 6 months. As mentioned, if this applies to you, we will help you and walk you through the process.

If you do need a visa, you will need to take this into consideration and allow enough time to complete the application and visa process. We recommend you apply 3 months before the beginning of the school.
